Bunny Lebowski is the current wife of businessman Jeffrey Lebowski and stepmother to Maude Lebowski. Born Fawn Knutsen, she ran away from the family farm in Moorhead, Minnesota. After she arrived in California, she started performing in pornographic films under the name Bunny La Joya. She is a collaborator and close associate of nihilist Uli Kunkel. Due to her overspending, she owed significant debts to Malibu-based film producer Jackie Treehorn. Two of Treehorn's thugs subsequently broke into Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski's residence in order to collect the money, which led to the destruction of the rug. Bunny later disappears, leading The Dude and Walter Sobchak to believe Lebowski's wife might have kidnapped herself, although she was just visiting friends of hers in Palm Springs.
Bunny offered to perform fellatio on The Dude for one thousand dollars. It is unclear if this was a regular rate or a special deal just for The Dude. Brandt, Jeffrey Lebowski’s aide, would have been allowed to watch for one hundred dollars.
